With a wealth of experience and a genuine passion for her work, Alisha empowers her clients to overcome challenges, explore their inner strengths, and embrace positive change.
Alisha’s journey into the field of mental health was driven by a profound desire to make a difference in people’s lives. Initially drawn to psychology during her college years, she found her calling while working as a Social Worker in a local behavioral health hospital. Recognizing the significant impact she could have as a nurse, Alisha pursued a Bachelor’s in Nursing from Lamar University, focusing on medical and behavioral health across the lifespan.
Continuing her education, Alisha obtained her Master’s in Nursing from the University of Texas – Health Science Branch in Houston, specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She is proud to be board certified by the ANCC and holds prescription authority through the Texas Board of Nursing. Throughout her career, Alisha has worked extensively with diverse populations, including adults dealing with depression, anxiety, marital issues, divorce, substance abuse, trauma, and various mental health conditions. She has also provided care for LGBTQ individuals, children, parents, postpartum mothers, and those with conditions such as ADD/ADHD, Bipolar I & II, Schizoaffective Disorder, Schizophrenia, and Anxiety.
Known for her truthful, helpful, and passionate nature, Alisha establishes a non-judgmental and supportive environment where clients can openly share their thoughts and emotions. She strongly believes in empowering individuals to take an active role in their own healing process and collaboratively explore personalized solutions for a brighter future.
Alisha’s commitment to holistic care extends beyond traditional therapy. She takes a comprehensive approach by incorporating mindfulness practices, breathing techniques, and self-care strategies into her treatment plans.
