Anna Rhodes Marchese holds a Master of Social Work from Rutgers University and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in New Jersey and North Carolina. She is also a yoga teacher and a Reiki master.

Anna utilizes CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused and trauma-informed therapy techniques. She finds that even with all of her training and experience with techniques, the most important factor in effective therapy is a good rapport and honesty which she facilitates by holding a safe space during sessions.

Anna grew up in North Jersey with her parents and a lot of siblings. She was raised Christian and while she no longer identifies with a particular religion, her upbringing shaped her faith in the Divine and in service to humanity. She loves to blend spirituality, bodywork, breathing, and meditation into her therapy sessions when clients are comfortable doing so.

Her family was service oriented and included spiritual leaders, teachers, and nurses. From early on, Anna was drawn to learning people’s stories, understanding their experiences, and the influence of larger social systems on the individual.

She is fulfilled when she is able to use her natural gifts, such as sensitivity, listening, intuitive guidance, and her clinical training to help others find clarity, peace, and progress in their lives. She learns so much from her clients as we are all helping each other in this experience of life.

When she isn’t working, Anna loves to bake, go outside in nature, watch something funny, snuggle with her cats, and play with her kids.
