Anthonia Udeh holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) with PMHNP specialization from Brandman University (now UMass Global). She received her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with FNPC specialization from the University of Phoenix.
Dr. Udeh was born and raised in the Eastern province of Nigeria and migrated to the United States when she was 18. As a child, she visited children without mothers and sick people in the hospital and helped with their daily activities. She was drawn to the field by the challenge and her interest in helping people and making a difference in people’s lives.
She felt that by receiving the highest level of education, she could best contribute to society. This includes advocating for laws that will help with healthcare disparities and equality of healthcare opportunities.
In addition to being her patients’ clinician, Dr. Udeh will also be their advocate if she feels their interests are not protected. She will respect their autonomy in making decisions about their treatments and will use the best evidence-based treatment in their plans of care. Her clients should know that she doesn’t give up easily and will follow up thoroughly when it comes to their care.
When she isn’t working, Dr. Udeh enjoys listening to Christian music and cleaning her surroundings. She believes in Florence Nightingale’s Environmental Theory philosophy of a clean environment being part of healing and is next to godliness. She also likes to travel.
