Anthony Quilon received his undergraduate degree at Saint Joseph College in the Philippines. He received his Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Master of Science and post-Master’s certification at Azusa Pacific University and is currently enrolled in the DNP program. In addition, he attended three semesters at Harvard University for a Master of Science in Biological Sciences with concentrations in Evolutionary Biology and Physiological Sciences.
Quilon is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner. He believes in a holistic, culturally sensitive, collaborative and evidence-based approach to treatment and incorporates both the most recent psychiatric research and nascent studies. He educates his patients on the beneficial effects of aerobic exercises (if tolerated), healthy nutrition, and cognitive skills exercise that promote mental health.
Quilon was born and raised in the Philippines and emigrated to the United States in 2002 to fulfill his most cherished “American dream” to live and work in the United States. In the Philippines, he witnessed firsthand the unfortunate plight of people dealing with mental illnesses. People with mental health issues are often stigmatized and marginalized in society. Helping to reduce this stigma and to make an impact in people’s lives impacted Quilon’s professional interests and his decision to study nursing and to pursue advanced education.
He has had a fulfilling and satisfying 15-year professional career as an RN despite all the challenges faced in stressed-filled and occasional unpredictable environments, including medical/surgical units and long-term acute facilities. His extensive experience will help him tremendously in working with mental illnesses and other medical conditions.
Outside of work, Quilon loves reading books about history, literature, trivia, astronomy, physics, social sciences, international relations, and geopolitics, among other topics. He is interested in Martial Arts, having competed in the 2022 USA Taekwondo Grand Prix West held in Reno, Nevada. In addition, he spends a lot of time with his loved ones, especially his wife and children.

Happier Living has been a breath of fresh air for me. My therapist and psychiatrist work together to provide the best care for me. I have never felt uncomfortable speaking openly to any of the staff and I am thankful to them for being able to answer any questions or concerns.
