Dr. Aza Tetelman, PSYD is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the State of California.
Dr. Tetelman attended the California School of Professional Psychology, San Francisco, at Alliant International University, and focused her dissertation research on obsessive-compulsive disorder in romantic relationships.
Aza is a multilingual, warm, attentive therapist, who takes on relational, dialectic, and insight-oriented approaches to treatment. She is well-versed in providing adults with individual therapy, couple’s therapy, and family therapy. She believes that a genuine human connection, a great sense of humor, and giving the benefit of the doubt is essential to healing. She holds that preventative care is just as important as healing in the aftermath of life challenges. She also enjoys facilitating self-understanding via bibliotherapy, whether through the use of novels, self-help books, comics, or other media.
Aza’s experience ranges broadly – some of the more common issues she’s treated across various settings are psychosis, depression, anxiety, grief, trauma, inter-generational conflicts, communication issues, mood disorders, and substance abuse.
