Charity Horn holds a Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Master of Science in Human Services with a Gerontology concentration from Capella University. She completed her undergraduate studies at American River College and California State University Sacramento.
Horn was drawn to the mental health field because she saw lonely, forgotten, everyday people who needed someone to be there for them, to validate them, and to give them time. She wants to be that person and to walk the journey with her clients no matter what.
She finds great reward in helping people find their voice and helping them to be seen. They are no longer forgotten but are seen and heard by those who can help them.
Horn grew up in California and followed her husband who was in the Army. She learned that people come from all different backgrounds, cultures, ethnicities, sexualities, and genders. This greatly impacted her world view, and that understanding helps her work with people today. She is an LGBTQIA+ ally. She believes everyone has the potential for growth and positive change in their lives and she will walk that journey with them.
When not working, Horn loves music, going to concerts, and hanging out with her family.

I cannot say enough good things about everyone I have met and dealt with at Happier Living. My clinician has been exceptionally caring and good in relation to the problem I came in here with. She has been very sensitive and effective to helping me come to terms and try to solve the present problem.
