Dr. Christian Ortiz is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist and a diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is licensed to practice in Florida, California, Texas, and New York.
Dr. Ortiz received his Bachelor’s degree in Biology at the University of Puerto Rico. Then continued to receive his Medical Degree at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences campus. Dr. Ortiz then moved to Texas where he completed his Psychiatric Residency in Fort Worth Texas at John Peter Smith Hospital.
Christian worked in Texas for four years doing a mix of Emergency Psychiatry then moving on to full-time outpatient psychiatry through telemedicine. He felt his passion for helping out clients would better reach out to people through outpatient telepsychiatry for the past four years.
He has a passion for treating chronic and acute diseases like depression, bipolar, anxiety, and schizophrenia among others. He has a personal belief in treating everyone equally with great empathy and understanding. He has served different types of populations throughout his career. This has helped him form a sense that each individual needs a unique approach to their needs for better overall treatment.
Dr. Ortiz has a passion for sports. He follows numerous types of sports from soccer, basketball, football, baseball among others. He also enjoys in his free time when possible to travel locally and around the world. In his downtime, he enjoys a night watching Netflix and watching a good movie.
