Ms. Christine Schneider is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.
Ms. Schneider received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, LA. She was born on the East coast but mostly grew up in the New Orleans area where most of her family continues to reside. After graduating, she relocated to California and eventually returned to academia and completed her Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy at Western Seminary in Santa Clara, CA, in June 2007. Western provided her with specialized training in addition to general graduate-level evidence-based therapy approaches, including how to integrate spiritual Christian principles within various therapeutic modalities. Following graduate studies, Christine completed her internship in San Jose and Santa Cruz. She also received an Addictions Certificate with her Master’s degree upon completion. Christine is an AAMFT, American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Fellow.
She holds an LMFT license by the NCMFT board. She is certified and state-rostered in TFCBT, Trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy. Christine is also educated, trained, and skilled in the Gottman Model created by Marriage Guru, John Gottman, for couples & marital therapy. She has extensive experience providing individual, group, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and adults. Her specialized training areas include Family Systems Therapy, Gottman Couples Method, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). Christine’s most recent specialty populations, in particular, include child trauma and couples therapy. She views child welfare as a family systems-level issue – recognizing that adverse experiences in childhood including familial dysfunction are often associated with subsequent emotional issues and substance abuse.
Christine genuinely believes in change and is passionate about being the guiding light for a change.

Happier Living has been a breath of fresh air for me. My therapist and psychiatrist work together to provide the best care for me. I have never felt uncomfortable speaking openly to any of the staff and I am thankful to them for being able to answer any questions or concerns.
