Cristiana Rodriguez holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, both from Argosy University. She also holds a Prime for Life and Prime Solution Instructor Certification.

Her approach emphasizes the mutual development of goals for therapy and provisions of ongoing evaluation of therapeutic approaches. She utilizes a blend of Psychoeducation, Structural, Cognitive Behavioral, Evidence-based Medicine, Narrative, Solution-Focused, and other Family System Theories. She believes in working with clients to create a partnership so they can challenge themselves and achieve their goals.

When Rodriguez meets with clients, she likes learning about their stories and the possibilities. She accepts the fact that she is not in charge of people’s changes, but she can be a guide if they want. She learns daily with clients, books, and colleagues, and this is something she treasures in her profession.

Rodriguez first developed an interest in becoming a therapist when she worked in a drug abuse residential setting as an aid assistant. As part of her responsibility, she engaged the residents in conversation in the hope of encouraging them to become more involved in their treatment. With this experience, she realized that she was able to be empathetic.Over the years, she has been involved in various treatment environments but has always worked to improve family relationships. As a mother of three, she understands the challenges and rewards of parenthood.

In her family of origin, she was the firstborn, the first to graduate with Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, and the first to move to a different country. She was also the first one to reflect on the person she was and how her life was influenced by her family. The reason she chose marriage and family therapy was because of her alcoholic father and how her childhood was influenced by his behavior.

When she isn’t working, she enjoys adventure and loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends. She loves the diversity of Utah, which hosts five national parks, as well as Florida’s amazing beaches and biodiversity.
