Mr. Dennis Cain is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the states of Georgia (MFT-1114) and Florida (MT-3317) and has over 16 years of experience.
Mr. Cain received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Chaminade University in Hawaii and his Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. He is a 24-year veteran of the U.S. Navy that retired in 2006 as a Master Chief Petty Officer.
Dennis has been a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist since 2006. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Chaminade University in Hawaii and his Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Alliant International University. Since becoming a Marriage and Family Therapist, Dennis has worked in Community Mental Health as an Addictive Disease Program Manager; Served as a member of the Athens-Clarke County DUI/Drug Court Treatment Team; Provided Clinical Counseling Services to Combat Veterans through the VET Center in Lawrenceville, GA; Worked in a Group Private Practice setting at Family Counseling Services in Athens, GA; and provided Clinical Counseling services to Active Military through Fleet and Family Support Center at Naval Air Station Jacksonville. Throughout his career, he’s continued to serve Veterans, First Responders, and their families suffering from trauma-related and anxiety spectrum disorders, traumatic grief, and loss, and has worked extensively with addiction and substance use-related issues. Additionally, as a Marriage and Family Therapist, he has specialized training working with couples & families utilizing a blend of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Imago techniques to help people move past their issues in order to rebuild trust, develop healthy communication skills and increase intimacy in their personal relationships.
Dennis’ job as a Marriage and Family Therapist is to serve as a Navigator and guide during your search for personal, emotional, or spiritual strength, allowing growth and awareness, and offering insight and alternatives along the journey of discovery and enrichment.
