Donald Wells received his Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Compton Community College and his Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Cal State University, Northridge. He received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and his Master of Science in Nursing – PMHNP from the Charles Drew University of Medicine and Science. He is PMHNP board certified.
Donald was born and raised in Southern California and struggled with confidence his entire childhood and early adulthood. He always loved science and animals and initially wanted to be a veterinarian. After taking a program senior year in high school in which he visited a hospital and met different healthcare professionals, he decided to switch to working with people instead of animals. Initially, he wanted to combine sports and medicine with kinesiology but realized the strong need for nurses. He fell in love with psychology on the way to his nursing degree and worked in it after he received his license. He decided to go up the ladder to decrease burnout and increase longevity. He loves his chosen career.
Donald wants his clients to know that their sessions are a safe space where they can talk about all of their feelings, concerns, and experiences with him. Together, they can come up with a game plan for their care and progress. He always recommends bringing a pen and paper to sessions.
When he isn’t working, Donald enjoys sports, especially football. He plays volleyball and softball in leagues. He also plays pick-up basketball when he can. A goal of his is to really get into his fitness. He also wants to travel, learn to play the piano, and get a vocal coach.

I cannot say enough good things about everyone I have met and dealt with at Happier Living. My clinician has been exceptionally caring and good in relation to the problem I came in here with. She has been very sensitive and effective to helping me come to terms and try to solve the present problem.
