Dr. Emily Vasiliou, DNP-BC graduated cum laude from Boston College where she focused her research on public healthcare access to refugees in the Middle East. After deciding she wanted to participate in more clinical work and practice, she received her Master’s of Science in Nursing from Columbia University in August 2017. She began her doctoral studies at Columbia University focusing on psychiatry in September 2017.
Dr. Vasiliou is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner and a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor Society of Nursing. She presented at the New York State Nurse Practitioner Association Conference on her research project regarding Antipsychotic Effects on Psychosis- Related Dementia in the Geriatric Population. Emily has experience working in inpatient psychiatry, psychiatric private practice, and community clinics providing initial evaluations and assessments, therapeutic services, and medication management. Emily treats patients across the lifespan.
