Dr. Eric Houston is a licensed Psychologist in the state of New York.

He specializes in helping individuals deal with a variety of life challenges. His work focuses on adults and adolescents from diverse cultural and social backgrounds who experience problems that include depression, anxiety, trauma, and substance abuse. Many clients who come to him are also dealing with career-related stress, relationship issues, and life transitions. Much of Dr. Houston’s work has focused on helping individuals achieve health-related goals or adapt to chronic medical conditions.

In assisting individuals to reach their goals, he utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapy approaches that include cognitive-behavioral therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy. In addition, Dr. Houston has an extensive background in clinical research that makes him particularly attuned to innovative, science-based approaches, including web-based and computerized techniques.

Dr. Houston considers his style in therapy to be a collaborative and compassionate partner in your journey to gain a deeper understanding of the problems you face and help you move forward with effective solutions.
