Florence Emmanuel received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Texas Tech University Health Science Center and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN-PMHNP) from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

Advocating for people was something she knew from an early age that she was born to do, but in what capacity she had know clue. As time progressed she became drawn to people in need of mental health services but who might not be receiving them due to lack of representation or stigma. Her goal is to help people get to the life that they desire without fear of stigma when it comes to mental health.

Emmanuel was born in Chicago, but her family moved to Houston when she was one and she lived there most of her life. Today, she lives in Denver. Growing up, she would advocate for her siblings when they couldn’t find the words to advocate for themselves. As she got older, she noticed that mental health had a special place in her heart, especially during college when she took her first psychology class. Upon learning that there was coursework to become a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she knew that that was exactly what she needed to become.

When she isn’t working, she enjoys DIY projects, church small groups, and singing in the church praise team.
