Dr. Hugo Martin Espinosa, M.D. is a Psychiatrist in the state of Florida.
Dr. Espinosa earned his Medical Degree at Intec Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, and completed his Postgraduate year one and two at Bronx Lebanon Hospital Center at Albert Einstein College of Medicine Yeshiva University, and completed residency training at Larkin Community Hospital affiliate to Nova Southeastern University as Chief Resident in Psychiatry.
Dr. Espinosa has been in private practice and group practice in Florida since 2014. Working as a medical director, staff psychiatrist, principal investigator in clinical research, public speaker, medical-legal Spanish interpreter, faculty at several Universities, member of the President’s Club at Harvard, American Psychiatric Association, Florida Psychiatric Society, and American Medical Association.
He is passionate about seeing change for the overall good of the clients via an integrative holistic approach which includes an eclectic style of psychodynamic therapy, guided meditation, TCM, orthomolecular, epigenetics, physical activity, creativity, brainwave optimization, and psychopharmacology.
He has extensive experience in Substance Use Disorders, Psychotic, Mood, and Anxiety Disorders in the inpatient acute crisis unit as well as step down via PHP, IOP, PSR, and outpatient settings. He is a trained Acupuncturist and well versed in Chinese Herbology as well as other modalities of TCM.
What makes Dr. Espinosa happy – being self-actualized, his family, his friends, and having an Attitude of Gratitude. He has a beautiful wife Vanessa, a 17-year young son Johnathan and an 8-year young daughter Luciana.
Dr. Espinosa’s spiritual beliefs, progress, peace and love, expertise in any craft move him when he sees someone excel and progress can be seen in all aspects of their life. He also loves skateboarding, surfing, horseback riding, dancing, going to musical concerts, traveling, and reading.
