Mrs. Janelle Hoover-Pollock graduated from Radford University with a Bachelor’s in Social Work and Winthrop University with a Master’s in Social Work. She worked in a variety of settings including child welfare, mobile crisis, private practice, assisted living facilities, and an integrated care clinic working with a psychiatrist.

A large focus of her experience has been with trauma, domestic violence, anxiety, and depression. Janelle utilizes treatment modalities including CBT, TFCBT, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Treatment, and DBT. She believes everybody deserves to be happy and that sometimes people need support with removing the barriers to happiness. Beginning therapy is a great step in starting the healing process and beginning the journey to living the life you want to lead. Mrs. Hoover-Pollock takes a holistic approach as physical and mental well-being is interconnected.

She enjoys spending time outside with friends and family. Janelle has a dog and two cats, as well as two bearded dragons (Bonnie and Clyde) and a Chameleon who also make things interesting. She loves the hustle and bustle of day to day family life, but also slowing down and taking time to enjoy the moments.
