Ms. Jessica Cary is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York.
Ms. Cary grew up in the Finger Lakes area; however, her life path has taken her to many different locations. In the past 15 years, she pursued her personal, educational, and career goals in Washington, New York, New Mexico, Colorado, Alaska, and throughout the countries of Central America. During this time, she traveled and worked her way through school, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from The University of Rochester and a Master’s Degree in Counseling at Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Currently, Jessica is attending Saybrook University, working towards her Ph.D. in Mind-Body Medicine with a specialization in integrative mental health, focused on the area of post-traumatic growth.
At Southwestern College in Santa Fe, New Mexico, she began seeing firsthand the personal transformation that is possible when working with people in a strength-based and holistic manner. Jessica has experience working with individuals struggling with PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, trauma, and healing from intimate partner violence. Additionally, Jessica has had several years of experience working with LGBTQ + youth, supporting them on their journey of embracing their true selves. She is well versed in the techniques of CBT, DBT, Solutions Focused Therapy, Art Therapy, Eco-Therapy, Meditation, Archetypal Psychology and simply holding space. There is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy and Jessica uses an integrative approach to pull from various modalities to work with you in a way that works for you!
In addition to Jessica’s passion for mental health, she is an artist and adventurer. In her free time, she creates paintings and art with her children, in addition to designing and painting furniture, she creates hand-painted jewelry using a medium called alcohol ink. In the warmer months, she can be found jetting off with her kids on mini adventures, to one of the many beautiful lakes near her area, or going on a long hike. Nature has always been Jessica’s medicine!

My experience with Happier Living has been very positive. The front desk staff are so friendly, and always make me feel right at home and comfortable. My doctor has been AMAZING, and I don’t know what I would do without her. Highly highly recommend this place! Do it, now!
