Dr. Albright

Dr. Kamal Albright, MD, is a Board-Certified psychiatrist with a comprehensive and integrative approach to mental wellness. 

Dr. Albright obtained a BS in Psychology and an MS in Healthcare Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. He then went on to achieve his MD from St Georges University School of Medicine. His zeal for in-depth understanding led him to a rigorous Psychiatry Residency at Creedmoor Psychiatric Hospital in NYC, where he also benefited from affiliation and training at the prestigious Columbia University. Dr. Albright further honed his skills by completing a Fellowship in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at Columbia University and achieving a certification in Trauma-Informed Care from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services (DFPS).

Describing himself as open-minded, supportive, curious, and creative, Dr. Albright places immense importance on individualized patient care. He is trained in an array of therapeutic methodologies including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic psychotherapy, psychedelic integration therapy with harm reduction counseling, and trauma-informed care. His sessions are designed to be understanding, tailored to each individual, effective, and empowering. His integrative knowledge base ensures that each patient’s physical, mental, and spiritual factors are considered holistically in their healing journey.

For Dr. Albright, the field of psychiatry has been a fulfilling path, humbled by the challenges his patients face, and is deeply honored to be trusted with their unique narratives. Witnessing his patients cope with and overcome their mental challenges is what keeps him passionately dedicated to his work. 

Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Albright is a man of varied interests. He enjoys jogging, writing poetry, and playing his guitar and has a rich background in practicing and teaching yoga and meditation. He is currently reigniting his passion for music and is adventurously learning to surf.
