Mrs. Labrini Gilpin is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in the state of California.
Mrs. Gilpin received her education at Roger Williams University where she received a dual Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Labrini continued her education at Roger Williams University where she earned a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology. After moving to California in 2017, Labrini was able to obtain her license in California where she now practices and can provide individual, couples, and family therapy. Labrini is also a Certified Case Manager in the state of California and has offered support in her career towards individuals that need support with coordination of medical care.
Mrs. Gilpin tends to utilize different modalities based on the client’s needs and experiences. She has collectively utilized cognitive behavior therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, client-centered therapy, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness/meditation. Labrini often uses a strength-based approach to assist the patient in harnessing the power within them to make difficult decisions and make the changes that will help the client reach his or her goals. Depending on the patient’s style and preferences, Labrini may also adopt a more existential and spiritual flavor to her sessions. Labrini’s passion is to help the patient create a fulfilling life in spite of the challenges and day-to-day difficulties that may present themselves.
Mrs. Gilpin is married and has two beautiful dogs named Popeye and Olive Oil who she loves dearly. In her spare time, Labrini loves to read self-growth books and she is also passionate about her own self-growth and self-actualization. Labrini engages in self-care activities such as playing the piano, exercising, listening to music, going on hikes, and really appreciating the presence of time and the current moment. Labrini is a true believer that it is important to live in the moment to really be in-tuned with your body, mind, and universe.
