For Carnine, helping people is personal. Growing up in San Diego, California, she saw family members struggle with mental illness and she had a strong desire to help them.

She is passionate about her work and considers herself caring, gentle, and intelligent. She believes in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion and doesn’t believe in stigmatizing labels. Her primary goal is to help and do it from a non-judgmental space.

Carnine has worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, trauma, personality disorders, and substance use. She enjoys seeing them learn skills that help change their lives.

Carnine believes that it takes courage to seek a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps toward change. For clients who are ready to take those steps, she is happy to support and empower them.

Outside of work, Carnine’s main passion is travel. She is also interested in social advocacy and political issues.
