Layne Baker, LMFT
Therapist

Ms. Layne Baker is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California.

Ms. Baker earned her Master’s Degree in Psychology with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy from Phillips Graduate University and her Bachelor’s Degree in Music from Pepperdine University. Prior to her graduate studies, Ms. Baker spent twenty years in the entertainment industry—a tenure that lends her an acute sensitivity as a Therapist who works with industry professionals throughout greater Los Angeles. Ms. Baker is also a LGBTQ+-affirmative Therapist who supports clients across the SOGIE (Sexual Orientation, Gender Identity and Expression) spectrum.

Ms. Baker primarily works with clients in entertainment, arts and creative industries who struggle against anxiety, perfectionism, relational and workplace stressors, as well as the impact of social media on self-esteem and the stress of “keeping up” in a success-driven culture.

Ms. Baker’s approach to therapy is one rooted in collaboration through strengths-based dialogue, resource development and solution-focused skill building that promote her clients’ sense of agency in order to create sustainable outcomes.
