Marieclaire Acha received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Texas at Arlington and her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. She also received her Master of Arts in Theological Science from Liberty University. Her DNP is pending from Walden University.
She has been a nurse for 17 years and has worked in several areas of nursing: as a floor nurse, supervising nurse, and director of nursing. She has experience in community health, mental health, and acute care nursing. Marieclaire was the supervising RN for a mental health residential facility for four years and has worked as an APRN telehealth nurse since March of 2020.
Each client brings their unique perspective to sessions, so Marieclaire takes an open-minded, interactive, and person-centered approach. She draws from CBT and interpersonal and psychodynamic theories in approaching treatment. She has a passion for stopping mental health stigma and for saving lives. Part of what drew her to the field was family members who suffered from addiction and endured pain and suffering.
When she isn’t working, Marieclaire enjoys traveling, praying, reading books, teaching, cooking, and cleaning. She is a mother of three and has been married for more than 25 years. She volunteers at a wellness center for women needing assistance with mental health issues. She is also a minister at her local church and a board member for three different organizations.
