Dr. Marija Petrovic is a Board Certified Psychiatrist.
Dr. Petrovic earned her Medical Degree at the University Leipzig in Germany in 2000, with a focus on Psychiatry. After graduating from Medical School, Dr. Petrovic moved to South West Germany to pursue her Psychiatric Practicum at the Zentrum fuer Psychiatrie, at the Inpatient Psychiatric Unit of a rural community hospital from 2000 to 2002, where she developed a passion for Psycho-social Rehabilitation and Services. Soon after she moved to the United States of America and began her Psychiatric Residency Program at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In and after completion, Dr. Petrovic worked in various community mental health, correctional settings, and private practice.
In 2014, Dr. Petrovic moved to San Francisco, California to explore matters related to spirituality and metaphysics, and continued to work in various outpatient settings, and decided in 2019 to pursue a career in the exciting field of TelePsychiatry to support clients who prefer remote services with Happier Living.
Dr. Petrovic has a passion for learning and education in the health fields, from learning about nutrition, to integrative medicine, to spirituality and its interplay with mental health conditions. She seeks to understand the psychodynamic and depth psychological themes such as archetypes, that show up in everyday psychiatric practice.
Dr. Petrovic lives life consciously with attention to the present moment, enjoys traveling, playing music and seeks to express her creative side outside work.
