Dr. Mary LaLonde is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist. Consistent with the philosophy of Happier Living, Dr. LaLonde believes that while not every client may require or benefit from psychotropic medication, every client benefits from therapy. This perspective influences her practice style.

At Stony Brook School of Medicine, she earned a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology and a Medical Doctorate and was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. Prior to joining Happier Living, Dr. LaLonde was in private practice in Westchester County, New York. During that time, she primarily saw children, adolescents, and young adults with mood disorders, anxiety, and attentional/executive functioning challenges. Dr. LaLonde values clear communication, collaboration, and strong relationships with clients. She believes that her primary role is to offer hope as she helps her clients build resilience and restore their sense of well-being.
Dr. LaLonde’s practice of medical benefits from the perspectives and skills she has gained outside of her medical training. Her self-care practices of mindfulness, meditation, Qi Gong, yoga, mindful eating, spending time with family and friends, and sculpting are her path to a flourishing life.
