Dr. Mechelle Jungsten is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. She is also a certified Health and Wellness Coach.

Dr. Jungsten received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from California State University, Sacramento, and earned her Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology at National University, and earned her Doctoral degree in Behavioral Health at Arizona State University.

It is her belief that we can learn from each other. You have an untapped amount of strength and wisdom. It is her job to help you uncover your potential so you can begin to walk in your truth. Only then will you truly be able to become your best self. We all have a vision of who we want to be. We get stuck in faulty thinking patterns that lead us to be emotionally unbalanced and this leads to depression, anxiety, and sabotaging behaviors such as overeating, substance abuse, and other disruptive behaviors. Dr. Jungsten is here to tell you there is hope in getting unstuck with these unhealthy patterns. Dr. Jungsten has experience working with individuals and couples. Dr. Jungsten enjoys working with individuals concerning relationships, goal setting, negative behaviors, thinking, and core beliefs. Dr. Jungsten specializes in mind and body integrative care.

Dr. Jungsten’s unique style of practice is made up of cognitive-behavioral interventions that focus on the solution rather than the problem and get you to recognize negative thinking that influences your behavior. Dr. Jungsten’s vast experience and education have enabled her to combine interventions that will give you that relief that you have been longing to experience.

Dr. Jungsten knows when we feel hopeless, everything appears dark. We begin to believe this is our “fate” in life; this is a lie that we tell ourselves. At this point, we no longer have perspective and we need to reach out and ask for help. Take the first step and allow me to be that pillar of support toward your healing. You don’t have to feel alone anymore.

Dr. Jungsten enjoys hanging out at home and relaxing. She has a therapy dog named Jackson, he is a red standard poodle. Dr. Jungsten spends a lot of time with him. Dr. Jungsten likes having coffee with friends, listening to all types of music and romantic movies.
