Ms. Michelle Tesoriero is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the beautiful Central Coast of California. She has over 10 years of experience in a variety of settings and with diverse clients, including long-term and acute brief interventions. Ms. Tesoriero went to graduate school at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and obtained her Master of Social Work, with her undergraduate degree in Psychology from North Carolina State University. She relocated to California with the ambition to help individuals grow and develop with life transitions.

Ms. Tesoriero has worked with a diverse population over the past decade. Her career started with providing support to behaviorally challenged children in their home and school while working with families and teachers to meet mutually agreed-upon goals; she then worked with adolescents on a youth psychiatric hospital ward. Ms. Tesoriero moved and continued her work with children and adolescents by working at alternative behavior schools for those with Priority 1 diagnoses. She was the Mental Health Therapist in the classroom, completing individual therapy sessions and providing behavior management. Michelle relocated to California and began her career working with adult males in prison and State hospitals. She continues to provide individual counseling and group therapy. Her approach is eclectic and tailored to the unique needs of each patient and client.

Michelle loves to put the “social” back in Social Work! She is warmhearted and conscientious. She is encouraging and feels great joy by supporting those around her. Michelle enjoys taking her dog on hikes, runs, and to the beach. She also enjoys reading while her cats flank her. Cooking is something that helps her show care for others by creating delicious meals for them. She recently started to learn how to make various homemade pasta. Michelle also likes summer gardening and all her indoor plants. She believes you cannot have enough plants!
