Dr. Nashat Shams Ali has a Bachelor of Science in Medicine and Surgery from Fatima Innah Medical College. She has a Master of Arts in Professional Counseling from Illinois School of Psychology and a PhD in Health Psychology from Walden University. 

Dr. Shams Ali applies a holistic approach to helping her clients with their psychological issues and physical problems, so they can attain promising results and enhance their quality of life. Many clinicians make the mistake of seeing client problems as physical symptoms and treating only medical issues without considering that the body and mind are connected.

She is highly motivated and passionate about her clients’ well-being and likes to see them growing and feeling empowered. She is from Dubai originally but lived and studied in the United States and considers it a privilege to be a multicultural therapist and respectful of diverse cultural backgrounds.

As both a physician and a psychologist, she can educate her clients about their problems in a very effective manner. Her clients’ growth and empowerment are her primary goals in therapy. She is sincere and committed to her profession and is a highly compassionate human being.

Dr. Shams Ali is a cognitive behavior therapist and keeps herself updated on new research related to this approach. She likes to work hard to grow in her profession and to see her organization and clients benefit from her experience.

When she is not working, she spends time with her family. She likes outdoor activities, which allow her to enjoy nature.
