Natalie Goodermont received her Associate’s degree in Nursing (ADN) from Mount San Jacinto College, her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with an emphasis on Leadership and Management from Walden University, her Post-Graduate Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate (FNP-C) from Charles Drew School of Medicine, and her Post-Graduate Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Certificate (PMHNP-BC) from National University.

In her current practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Natalie uses up-to-date resources and best-practice protocols. Her philosophy is to create individualized, dynamic treatment plans for each of her clients.

Natalie grew up in Minnesota with family members and friends who had mental health disorders and always knew that she wanted to work in psychiatry. She joined the U.S. Navy right out of high school so that she could obtain her nursing degree.

She initially started working as a registered nurse in a step-down cardiac unit but decided to go back to school to pursue a graduate degree. She started working at a community clinic and saw medically underserved clients in need of mental health services. She decided to further her career and obtain her Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner degree.

There are many reasons why Natalie couldn’t imagine choosing a different career. Her work has purpose and personal meaning for her, and she knows that sometimes just listening to clients’ concerns is enough to give them the courage to better their lives. The feedback she receives makes her feel appreciated on a daily basis. She enjoys witnessing the benefits of her work over repeated visits, and this gives her momentum to give more to her clients.

When Natalie isn’t working, she enjoys running long distances on difficult terrain. She has run races up to 100 miles and runs daily for health and social benefits. She is a firm believer in physical activity significantly improving quality of life.
