Rachel Parsons is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing care in Texas and Louisiana. She holds a Master of Social Work from Tulane University and Certifications in Dialectical Behavior Therapy & Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.
Rachel grew up in Louisiana and enjoyed the rich and diverse culture and the emphasis on treating everyone like family. She carries this approach with her into her work, and approaches each client first and foremost with empathy and understanding.She has always held a strong belief in the dignity and worth of all people and compassion is one of her deepest core values.
She describes herself as honest, caring, direct, and has a healthy sense of humor. She loves helping people discover new ways of looking at the issues they face and helping them to find what motivates them to make the changes that will lead to a satisfying and fulfilling life

Together with Ms Parsons you can work to find the tools that will help you to navigate these changes. You may be struggling with depression, anxiety, panic, fatigue, or burnout. It takes courage to seek help, and she is committed to walking beside you on this journey.
Rachel believes that there is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy. However, some of the modalities she utilizes include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness.
Ms Parsons is here to meet you where you are without judgement and help you to discover the tools to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life. Her approach is honest and direct, while respectful, and she will encourage you to look at whatever challenges you face in new ways. She believes that it is important that your experience in therapy is collaborative and that we find solutions that work for you.
Outside of her clinical practice, she enjoys meditation, yoga, tai chi, trying new restaurants (major foodie), spending time in nature, and reading poetry.
