Rachel Parsons, LCSW

Video chat with me.

Rachel Parsons is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing care in Texas and Louisiana. She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from Tulane University and Certifications in Dialectical Behavior Therapy & Acceptance & Commitment Therapy.

Rachel grew up in Louisiana and enjoyed the rich and diverse culture and the emphasis on treating everyone like family. She carries this approach with her into her work, and approaches each client first and foremost with empathy and understanding. She has always held a strong belief in the dignity and worth of all people, and compassion is one of her deepest core values.

Rachel loves helping people discover new ways of looking at the issues they are facing and helping them hfind what motivates them to make the changes that will lead to satisfying and fulfilling lives.

Clients may be facing a major change in their life, dealing with grief or loss, going through divorce, remarriage, or struggling with parenting or relationship issues. Together with Rachel, they can work to find the tools that will help them to navigate these changes. They may be struggling with depression, anxiety, panic, fatigue, or burnout. It takes courage to seek help, and she is committed to walking beside her clients on this journey.

Rachel believes that there is no “one size fits all” approach to therapy. However, some of the modalities she uses include CBT, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness.

Rachel is here to meet her clients where they are without judgment and to help them discover the tools to live a more meaningful and fulfilling life. Her approach is honest and direct, while respectful, and she will encourage her clients to look at whatever challenges they face in new ways. She believes that it is important that their experience in therapy is collaborative and that together they find solutions that work for them.

Outside of her clinical practice, Rachel enjoys meditation, yoga, tai chi, trying new restaurants (she’s a major foodie), spending time in nature, and reading poetry.
