Ms. Rachel Stewart is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Oklahoma.
Ms. Stewart received both her Bachelor of Arts in psychology and a Masters in Marriage and Family Therapy from Southern Nazarene University in Bethany, Oklahoma.
Rachel has worked in a variety of settings, including school districts, group homes, inpatient residential treatment centers, and outpatient centers. She enjoys working with clients of all ages and backgrounds–individuals, couples, families, adolescents, and children.
Rachel’s approach to therapy is a relational one, helping the client explore his or her view of self in the context of personal history and family/community settings. She uses cognitive-behavioral strategies as well as strengths-based and trauma-informed modalities to help clients with depression, anxiety, trauma, OCD, bipolar disorder, relational struggles, family systems difficulties, poor self-esteem, and more.
Rachel believes that trust and connection are key to a therapeutic relationship, and works to collaborate with the client to bring about the change they want to see.
