Dr. Sally Goh is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Counselor Educator.
Dr. Goh received her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision from Liberty University and EMDR training to specialize in trauma work.
Dr. Goh believes everyone can create the change they want to see in themselves (even if their circumstances or the people around them do not change) because of our intrinsic strengths and worth. She believes that our brain is “fearfully and wonderfully made,” and the good news is that we can learn and change by creating new neural pathways in our brain. If you have ever broken a bad habit or changed your perspective about something, you have rewired your brain and experienced neuroplasticity. As a relationship-driven therapist, Dr. Goh works with a diverse population, including children, teenagers, young adults, couples, families, and senior adults, on adverse childhood experience (ACE), anxiety, cross-cultural issues, depression, disordered eating, domestic violence, generational issues, grief and loss, stress management, substance use/abuse, and trauma. She offers a highly personalized approach tailored to your needs to attain personal growth and move forward to live a healthy, abundant life.
Dr. Goh and her husband volunteer with Trail Life, so most of their weekends are spent outdoors with the boys and their girl – Patches (their four-legged pet dog). During winter, they ski in Virginia and West Virginia. She also loves to read and research mental health-related issues.
