It can feel overwhelming when dealing with trauma and feelings that others don’t seem to fully understand. Feeling misunderstood and alone – all at the same time.  Selma helps those who are struggling due to past traumatic experiences. These struggles may feel like irritation, anger, depression, and anxiety. They may also have affected the relationships with family and friends and may have created parenting difficulties.

Selma helps her clients by teaching them how trauma affects the brain and body. Her clients also learn how to feel safe again through specific exercises and learning new ways of thinking. Selma has an attachment theory perspective on healing which means that she holds sacred, safe, and secure space for her clients during their treatment where they feel entirely accepted and wholly understood.

Selma loves to read and spend time with her family. The outdoors are her space for reflection, healing, and re-energizing.
