Ms. Shilpa Shah is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of New York.

Ms. Shah obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and her Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling at CUNY Queens College. She later attended graduate school at CUNY Brooklyn College for her master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling.

Shilpa is a multilingual licensed mental health counselor fluent in Gujarati. Her experience working with young adults and adults from diverse backgrounds in community-based and outpatient settings informs her culturally sensitive approach to treatment. Shilpa’s warm, compassionate, and professional approach enables her to establish rapport and work collaboratively with clients in achieving their goals and meeting their needs. She aims at creating a safe, supportive, and non-judgmental space for her clients. She utilizes an eclectic approach drawing from psychodynamic, person-centered, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT).

In addition to Shilpa’s passion for mental health, she loves spending time with her family and friends. She can be found connecting with nature while hiking and enjoying scenic views. Shilpa believes that practicing self-care is essential and grounding in difficult times and enjoys staying active by doing yoga and high-intensity workouts.
