Dr. Shirin Sinai is a licensed clinical psychologist in the state of California. Dr. Sinai obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She then obtained both a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Psychology and Doctor of Philosophy degree in Clinical Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles.

Dr. Sinai has extensive clinical experience from a variety of clinical settings including non-profit community mental health centers, Department of Mental Health contracted agencies, long-term care/skilled nursing facilities, and homeless shelters serving chronically mentally ill and battered women. Dr. Sinai’s areas of specialty include depression, anxiety/stress management, trauma, crisis intervention, substance abuse, internet addiction, anger-management, phase of life issues, grief and loss/bereavement, adjustment issues and relationship issues. She utilizes an eclectic approach of treatment drawing from multiple theoretical frameworks including psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal and solution-focused therapies. She will develop a tailored treatment plan to meet her client’s unique and specific needs. Dr. Sinai’s goal is to provide safe, supportive and compassionate care for her clients while creating a meaningful difference in an effort to improve their quality of life.

Dr. Sinai is an active member of the American Psychological Association, California Psychological Association and Los Angeles County Psychological Association.
