Video chat with me.

Stephanie Lee-Ferreira is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing care to clients in New York. She received her Master’s in Social Work from the Silberman School of Social Work (Hunter College) in New York.

What initially drew Stephanie to the field is a desire to help others and bring hope to others despite what adversity or turmoil they may be facing. What keeps her working in mental health care is the joy that comes from helping others, especially when an individual may have felt that there is no hope left.

Stephanie grew up in Washington Heights, New York City. She has always felt an innate desire to help others even in the smallest of ways. She has always enjoyed listening to others and helping in any way possible. Once she got older, she realized the stigma that mental health holds, especially in the Latino community. This made her prouder to be a Latina working in the mental health field and normalizing the importance of asking for help or having a therapist simply as a support system in day to day life.

She describes herself as a compassionate individual who truly wants to get to know her client’s story. She is compassionate, dedicated, a team player and a hard worker. Stephanie’s approach to treatment centres on talk therapy with a focus on a strengths based perspective, while also incorporating solution focused therapy and narrative therapy on a case by case basis.

Outside of her clinical practice, Stephanie enjoys reading, watching different series (i.e. drama; crime; docuseries), listening to music, and going on walks.

She is looking forward to helping her clients in the best way possible and in a way that best suits their needs.
