Ms. Tanya Menezes is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of California.

Ms. Menezes attended National University and holds a master of arts degree in counseling. She also attended Walden University and earned a master of philosophy in health psychology, and is currently completing her Ph.D. in Health Psychology.

Through her own personal experiences with family members and other people close to her, Tanya discovered the difference therapy can make in recovery from mental health challenges, as well as the related physical health challenges. She also realized that ‘good’ therapy is what makes the most effective difference. Providing clients with tools and helping them learn healthy skills is what she has found to be especially helpful. Tanya most often uses therapy modalities called, CBT, DBT, PVIT, Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology with Reality Therapy. She has found it is best to use the approach that fits the client best.

When not working or writing her research paper, Tanya likes to go hiking and loves to paint. She also loves hanging out with her dogs and a crazy cat. She loves being out in nature and really loves animals, photographing them as often as she can. Above all, Tanya enjoys time with her family – and it’s a big one!
