Dr. Tara Cerreta is a Board-Certified Psychiatrist specializing in Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry and General Adult Psychiatry. With a passion for mental health that began in high school, she has dedicated her career to helping patients achieve their goals and experience both personal and professional success.
Dr. Cerreta’s educational background includes an MD from New York Medical College, a BS in Psychology from Stony Brook University, and a Chemistry minor. She completed her General Adult Psychiatry Residency and Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Morningside and West.
In her approach to therapy, Dr. Cerreta emphasizes collaboration and open communication with her patients. She offers various treatment modalities, including therapy and self-care techniques, and encourages patients to take an active role in discussing their expectations and goals.
