Dr. Timothy Louis Gendron (pronounced with a soft “G,” like a giraffe), but clients often refer to him as Dr. Tim or Dr. G.

Dr. Gendron is an ecstatic psychiatrist for Happier Living.  Dr. Gendron is pleased to offer all of his clients online psychiatric/mental health treatment. Having worked within this platform for the last year, he believes that telepsychiatry may be the perfect specialty to utilize the many advantages of telehealth, within the calmness and comforts of your own home.

Dr. Gendron hopes to offer the best psychiatric treatment by providing psychiatric assessment as well as ongoing psychiatric treatment in a strong therapeutic environment. His methods allow psychiatric treatment to be down-to-earth, non-judgmental, adaptable to each individual, with conversational ease. He clearly listens to all clients’ difficulties, accomplishments, concerns, and issues.

Dr. Gendron grew up in Saint Paul, MN until graduating from high school. He then moved out East and received his bachelor’s degree from Boston College in pre-med and mathematics. Following his undergraduate years, he was graciously accepted to the Mayo Clinic Alix School of Medicine, which is located in Rochester and received his MD degree in 1995. Following medical school, he then moved to Providence, home of Brown University!  It is here that he completed his 4-year residency training in psychiatry, as well as his 1-year fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry.

Dr. Gendron then worked in a group practice for about 5 years where he had many roles, both inpatient (hospital) and outpatient (clinic) work. He then worked for a mental health clinic for 2 years, whose clients were generally an underserved population. After this, he founded his own solo psychiatric practice in New Bedford, MA, which he enjoyed for about 6 years. Dr. Gendron then ventured back home. He worked for a large multi-specialty medical organization based in the Twin Cities, HealthPartners, as an outpatient (clinic) psychiatrist for 6 years. For the last 3-4 years, while continuing to live in Saint Paul, he then worked as an outpatient psychiatrist for a mental health clinic in Hudson, Wisconsin.  Due to COVID, this clinic closed its doors at the beginning of 2021. His employment search led me to Happier Living, and he is so pleased to offer all of you quality psychiatric treatment from my home in Saint Paul, MN, to wherever your home may be.

A few things about Dr. Gendron, he is the youngest of 5 children, and his parents are still alive and well, also living in Saint Paul, married now over 50 years. His father was a psychiatrist, and his mother was a marriage and family therapist — they worked together for many years. He is currently living happily with my partner of 8 years.

When Dr. Gendron is not working, he enjoys listening to music, mostly the rock I grew up with within the 70s, 80s, and 90s, plus alternative rock. Generally, he likes to keep current with the news and enjoys following politics and some history. Dr. Gendron is an avid Minnesota Twins (MLB) fan and a more avid Minnesota Wild (NHL) fan. Certainly, he loves the time I have with my partner, family, and friends.

Dr. Gendron is looking forward to seeing any of you who are out seeking treatment — You’ve come a long way to simply inquire about treatment. It is with pleasure to meet with you, and let’s see where it goes from there.
