Dr. Colleen McGuire, DO, is a Board-Certified Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine specializing in psychiatry and dedicated to helping people through empathetic, client-centered care.

Dr. McGuire's educational journey includes a Bachelor’s Degree in Music from the University of New Mexico, pre-med coursework at Metropolitan State University in Denver, and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Touro University Medical School in California. She completed her residency and served as Chief Resident at the University of Colorado School of Medicine.

In her professional career, Dr. McGuire has held various significant roles, including Attending Psychiatrist and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the ACUTE Center for Eating Disorders, University of Colorado Denver Health, and Adult Inpatient, Residential & Partial Psychiatrist at the Eating Recovery Center in Denver. She has a profound interest in trauma and midlife issues related to hormonal changes and is well-versed in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

Dr. McGuire believes in creating a therapeutic relationship that is nurturing and based on trust. She is known for her great listening skills and empathetic approach, providing clients with the support they need to find solutions and work towards growth. She is dedicated to doing her best to help each client and is always open to researching new ideas or options to ensure the most effective treatment.

Outside of her professional life, Dr. McGuire enjoys swimming, playing the piano, and indulging in Thai food. As a trained classical pianist, she finds joy in music and relaxation in the water. She also loves spending time with her cats and exploring new ideas for personal and professional growth.

Dr. McGuire's holistic and empathetic approach, combined with her dedication to continuous learning and client-centered care, makes her a valuable and trusted professional in her field.
