Valerie Hampton, NP

Valerie Hampton is a Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She grew up in Pensacola, Florida, where her early fascination with her mother's nursing textbooks ignited her passion for healthcare, particularly psychiatry. From a young age, Valerie knew she wanted to make a positive impact on others' lives through mental health care.

Valerie's educational journey is diverse and comprehensive. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Computer Information Systems and then pursued her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Walden University, where she also completed her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a specialization in Psychiatric-Mental Health.

Valerie believes that the therapeutic relationship is fundamental to successful mental health care. She is committed to helping her clients reach their mental health goals through a nurturing, trust-based approach. Valerie emphasizes the importance of continuous learning and enjoys seeing the positive outcomes that result from her evidence-based practices. Her treatment approach often incorporates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), where she encourages clients to engage in homework, reading, and activities to reinforce their learning and progress.

Empathic, resilient, and caring, Valerie is dedicated to providing compassionate and effective mental health care. She strives to empower her clients to make meaningful changes in their lives and is always open to feedback to enhance her services further.

Outside of her professional life, Valerie enjoys spending time with her family, working out, reading, engaging in DIY projects, dancing, traveling, and experiencing live music. These interests enrich her holistic approach to mental health care, allowing her to connect with clients on a personal level and understand their diverse experiences.
