She went on to earn her Master of Science in Nursing with a specialty in Psychiatric Mental Health from Gonzaga University, where she graduated as a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner.

Danice’s journey to becoming a nurse was marked by determination and resilience. Despite a tumultuous early life and dropping out of high school, she returned to school as an adult, earned her diploma, and pursued higher education. This experience has instilled in her a deep understanding of the transformative power of education and support.

Danice's therapeutic philosophy is centered on the belief that treatment is only effective if the client is ready. She views herself as a guide and supporter in her clients' recovery journeys, rather than the driver. She emphasizes that recovery is a collaborative process and respects her clients' autonomy, stating, "We can agree to disagree."

Her kind and compassionate nature defines her approach to therapy. Danice provides clients with the insights they need to understand their challenges and empowers them to develop their own solutions, enhancing their ability to improve their interpersonal relationships. She believes that with determination, appropriate care, love, patience, and support, great things can be accomplished.

Danice’s clients appreciate her human approach, as she often reminds them, “I am human too.” Her ability to connect on a personal level, combined with her professional expertise, makes her a trusted and respected figure in her field.

When she isn’t working, Danice enjoys spending time outdoors, riding horses, quilting, reading, and savoring a good cup of coffee. She finds solace and joy in these activities, which reflect her appreciation for both adventure and tranquility. Her love for the outdoors and the simple pleasures of life are a testament to her holistic approach to well-being.
