Fallon Desir, PhD, is a Clinical Psychologist with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, a Master’s Degree in Mental Health from the University of Central Florida (UCF), and a Marriage and Family Therapy Certificate. Additionally, she holds a Registered Behavior Technician certification, demonstrating her broad range of expertise in therapeutic practices. Fallon is passionate about creating a safe, accepting, and empowering environment for her clients, driven by a desire to help others feel supported and understood.
Having grown up in Eustis, Florida, Fallon's personal experiences have profoundly influenced her approach to therapy. Her early life included exposure to intimate partner violence and other unhealthy relationship dynamics, as well as personal trauma. These experiences have shaped her commitment to fostering an atmosphere where clients feel safe, respected, and empowered. Fallon is dedicated to ensuring that her clients are active participants in their therapeutic journey, knowing that real change happens through active involvement and mutual respect.
Fallon’s therapeutic approach is primarily grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), a method emphasized in her doctoral training. However, she also incorporates elements from other therapeutic modalities, including Solution-Focused Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She believes in tailoring her approach to meet the unique needs of each client, ensuring that their goals are at the forefront of the therapeutic process.
Fallon is motivated by her ongoing professional development and the potential to better support her clients. She is driven to continuously grow in her field, as she views professional growth as key to providing effective, meaningful therapy. Her clients can trust that she is dedicated to their well-being and that she takes their time and progress seriously.
Outside of work, Fallon enjoys spending time with her husband and child. Together, they love to travel, having visited destinations such as Greece, Bali, Colombia, Montreal, and France. In her personal time, she finds joy in cooking, baking, and collecting cookbooks. Self-care is important to her, and she engages in activities like getting massages, exercising, and trying out new wellness experiences like visiting a salt room. These interests reflect her holistic approach to life and therapy, as she believes in balancing work with personal well-being.
