Dr. Kelly England’s clinical philosophy is based upon a journey of healing and transformation that is a partnership between her and her patients. The goal of the journey focuses on enabling her patients to live a meaningful life with mental illness, by helping them achieve mental wellness. Respect, understanding, listening attentively, and conveying that patient’s opinion matters are all components she guides her practice by.
Kelly integrates providing holistic care to her patients. She believes that for one to be well the patient’s mental, emotional, physical, spiritual, social, and environmental aspects must be addressed. She is a firm believer that education is a vital component to understanding the concept of mental illness, which starts the journey of healing. She understands that mental illness does not differentiate between age, subsequently, Kelly enjoys working with children, teenagers, adults, and the elderly. She feels that regardless of age everyone’s life is important.
Kelly’s single most important professional accomplishment was obtaining her doctorate degree, as the knowledge, she gained enabled her to provide evidence-based care with positive outcomes. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Phoenix with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked for 15 years with patients with mental illness. She further obtained her Master’s Degree with a focus on Family Nurse Practitioner, her Doctorate in Nursing Practice, and her Postmasters in Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Frontier Nursing University. Her psychiatric practice has included both inpatient and outpatient settings across the lifespan. Kelly treats depression and other mood disorders, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, ADHD, insomnia, and other psychiatric and mental health-related problems.
