Dr. Kerry Mullen, Psy.D. is a licensed clinical psychologist specializing in adult individual psychotherapy.
Dr. Mullen received her Doctorate of Psychology degree from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University. She trained within the demanding Cook County Hospital system and has experience working in a wide variety of settings, including private practice, rehabilitation psychology, and pain management. Dr. Mullen utilizes aspects of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioral, and humanistic therapies in order to shape interventions that are a good fit for her clients.
For more than fifteen years, Dr. Mullen has worked with a variety of individuals with unique emotional, societal, medical, and psychological issues. However, some of her most extensive experience has been working with people who struggle with depression, anxiety, relational discord, and stress management issues. She also has a specialty in health psychology, treating the psychological issues that arise secondary to medical conditions.
Whatever the client’s issue or condition, the most important aspect of therapy for Dr. Mullen is building a solid, comfortable, and productive therapeutic relationship. She always strives to offer the client an environment of empathy, respect, warmth, and non-judgment. She is a big believer in self-care. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking in the Sierra Nevada Mountains alongside Lake Tahoe, trying new recipes for family and friends, and curling up with a good book.
