Dr Ortiz is a Board Certified Psychiatrist and a diplomate of American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Dr Ortiz is licensed to practice in Florida, California, Texas and New York.
He received his Bachelor's degree in Biology at the University of Puerto Rico. Then continued to receive his Medical Degree at University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences campus. Dr Ortiz then moved to Texas where he completed his Psychiatric Residency in Fort Worth Texas at John Peter Smith Hospital.
Dr Ortiz worked in Texas for four years doing a mix of Emergency Psychiatry then moving on to fulltime outpatient psychiatry through telemedicine . He felt his passion for helping out clients would better reach out to people through outpatient telepsychiatry for the past four years.
He has a passion for treating chronic and acute diseases like depression, bipolar, anxiety and schizophrenia among others. He has a personal belief in treating everyone equally with great empathy and understanding. He has served different types of population throughout his career. This has helped him form a sense that each individual needs an unique approach to their needs for better overall treatment.
Dr Ortiz has a passion for sports. He follows numerous types of sports from soccer, basketball, football, baseball among others. He also enjoys on his free time when possible to travel locally and around the world. On his downtime, he enjoys a night in of netflix and watching a good movie.
