Rose Mondoa, DNP, MSN, PMHNP, FNP, is a dedicated and compassionate Nurse Practitioner committed to delivering exceptional, patient-centered care. She firmly believes that quality care is nonnegotiable. With a deep passion for nursing and medicine, Rose sees her role as a divine calling—one that allows her to provide the same kind, loving, and compassionate care that once made a profound impact on her own life.
Born and raised in Cameroon, West Africa, Rose's journey into healthcare was inspired by a personal experience that shaped her lifelong commitment to helping others. After losing her father to complications of diabetes at a young age, her family faced significant financial hardships. When Rose fell ill with bacterial meningitis as a child, volunteer Peace Corps nurses stepped in, offering life-saving treatment when her mother could not afford care. Their generosity and dedication planted the seed for Rose's future in nursing, inspiring her to follow in their footsteps and make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
Rose holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Missouri State University, a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Indiana State University, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Psychiatric-Mental Health (PMHNP) from Purdue University Global. She also earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Guilford Technical and Community College in Jamestown, NC. Her extensive educational background equips her with the skills and expertise to provide comprehensive and holistic care across a range of healthcare settings.
Rose’s approach to patient care is deeply rooted in the understanding that “perception is everything.” She recognizes that each patient’s experience and viewpoint are critical in achieving positive outcomes. By fostering trust and open communication, she ensures that patients feel seen, heard, and valued throughout their healthcare journey.
For Rose, nursing is not just about treating an individual; it's about recognizing the interconnectedness of their lives—acknowledging the impact of their health on family, friends, and the broader community. This holistic perspective guides her in delivering compassionate care that addresses not only physical symptoms but also emotional and social well-being.
What keeps Rose passionate about her work is the profound impact she sees in her patients' lives—the transformation from illness to recovery and the hope it brings to them and their loved ones. Seeing a person regain their health and happiness is the ultimate reward that fuels her dedication to the field.
When she’s not caring for patients, Rose enjoys staying active and engaged through her love of tennis and Zumba. She dedicates several hours a week to playing tennis, finding it a great way to stay energized and balanced in both her personal and professional life.
