Sharon Furman, PsyD, is a compassionate and thoughtful psychologist dedicated to helping her clients navigate life's challenges. With a Doctorate and Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, as well as a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Philosophy from the University of California, Santa Barbara, Sharon brings a wealth of knowledge and insight to her practice. She is passionate about understanding human development and the intricacies of the mind, having cultivated a deep curiosity in these areas from an early age.
Sharon grew up in Los Angeles with immigrant parents, and her mother’s work as a social worker, aiding other immigrants in their transition to a new life, had a profound impact on her. The values of mental health, community, and compassion were central to her upbringing and helped shape her professional path. Sharon’s upbringing instilled a deep respect for diverse cultures, and she is both knowledgeable and respectful of various cultural backgrounds, which influences her approach to therapy.
Known for her patience and active listening skills, Sharon is dedicated to creating a safe, supportive environment where her clients can explore their emotions and challenges. She finds it a meaningful way to process her own emotions and connect with her artistic side. She also enjoys hiking and outdoor activities, finding balance and rejuvenation in nature. Her love for creativity, curiosity about the human mind, and compassion for others drive her continuous dedication to the field of psychology.
