Ms. Summer Williams, MSN, PMHNP-BC, WHNP-BC, is a board-certified Women’s Health and Psych/Mental Health nurse practitioner. She obtained her first Master of Science (MSN) degree, with a focus in Women’s Health, in 2012 from the University of Cincinnati and her second MSN, with a focus of Psych/Mental Health, in 2019 from the University of Arizona. She is currently completing a dual Doctorate degree (PhD/DNP) from the University of Arizona, following in the footsteps of Florence Nightingale, in hopes to blend research with practice. Her dissertation will evaluate, via a qualitative approach, the perceptions of women who experienced anxiety/stress during pregnancy and the holistic self-care practices that were utilized to improve symptoms. She hopes not only to better understand what holistic self-care practices are being used by this population but also the role of intuitive/body knowing.

Summer has a passion for Integrative and Holistic health care and strongly believes that the mind, body and spirit are connected. She recommends both allopathic and alternative methods to improve wellbeing while truly understanding that each client is an individual that requires a unique, whole person approach. She not only wants to improve symptoms but get to the “root” of the problem so that her clients can enjoy a full and joy-filled life. She believes in getting back to the basics by reminding clients of the importance of sunshine, exercise, diet, community, breath and self-awareness. She is trained to work with clients across the lifespan and is happy to collaborate with all ages.

Summer currently lives in Arizona and enjoys traveling, art, photography, meditation, reading and spending time outdoors with her German Shepherd mutt.
