Tara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from California State University, Northridge, and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Mount Saint Mary's University in Los Angeles. Additionally, she earned a Master of Science in Integrative Functional Nutrition from the University of Bridgeport, and a Master of Science in Nursing, specializing in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing, from Walden University.
From a young age, Tara was drawn to the field of psychiatric mental health, inspired by the experiences of family and friends facing mental health challenges. These early encounters sparked a deep curiosity and passion for understanding mental health and supporting others through their struggles. Today, she blends Eastern and Western healing modalities to offer compassionate and comprehensive care to her patients. Tara believes in addressing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit—to foster long-lasting well-being and growth. Her goal is to empower her patients to heal themselves and maintain a peaceful, balanced state of being.
Her approach to care is holistic, utilizing mindfulness, existential therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and supportive counseling through talk therapy. Tara describes herself as conscious, mindful, compassionate, and emotionally attuned, while also embracing her playful inner child. She believes the therapeutic relationship requires trust, time, and effort, and she is fully committed to guiding her patients on their healing journeys.
Tara finds her work deeply gratifying, especially the opportunity to witness the transformative changes in her patients’ lives. She is continuously motivated to evolve and expand her knowledge in the dynamic field of psychiatric mental health nursing, driven by her dedication to her patients' well-being.
Outside of her professional life, Tara is passionate about expanding her consciousness through spiritual practices like yoga, transcendental meditation, and mindfulness. She enjoys traveling the world, exploring different cultures, spending time in nature, exercising, running on the beach, and cooking. When she’s not working, Tara loves reading, shopping at the farmers market, and spending quality time with her loved ones.
