David Jung, pronounced “Juhng,” is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) who has a passion for helping people overcome mental health challenges. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Religious Studies from Hunter College, his Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN), and his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner specialty track from the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). He also holds an ANCC PMHNP board certification and a Certification in Telehealth, both from MUSC.
David’s approach to therapy is rooted in understanding his clients' unique experiences and perspectives. He believes that people who deal with mental health issues often feel misunderstood and that being heard and understood is an essential part of the healing process. Among other therapeutic approaches, he incorporates supportive/humanistic therapy and existential therapy when appropriate. He tailors his approach to each client's individual needs, ensuring that they receive the best possible care.
In his personal life, David has an interest in exercise, nutrition, and sports psychology. He enjoys watching movies, birding, and playing the electric guitar.
David Jung is a PMHNP who is passionate about helping his clients overcome mental health challenges. With his unique perspective and personalized approach to therapy, clients can trust that they will be heard and understood. David's dedication to his clients' well-being extends beyond his work, as he values his own physical and mental health and continually seeks personal growth. Clients can feel confident in their decision to work with David for their mental health needs.
